Product description

Lacristar is a safe, long-lasting and effective eye drop specifically designed and engineered for dry eye therapy. The product is hypotonic, giving immediate relief and freshness to the patient suddenly after application. The high concentration of hyaluronic acid (0.4%) also enhances the effect over time by maintaining a longer lasting hydration. The characteristics of the hyaluronic acid molecule chosen for Lacristar are very interesting and innovative. This molecule is of medium / low molecular weight (about 900 kDalton), characterized by numerous side chains. The side chains make the molecule more consistent in a three-dimensional sense; this characteristic give much higher resistance to the molecole from hyaluronidases and therefore a longer duration of the moisturizing and lubricating effect; the medium / low molecular weight gives the molecule specific rheological characteristics that allow a clear and non-foggy vision from the very first moments of application, unlike other 0.4% concentrated solutions. Finally, Diadema has made specific investments in R&D to insert PHARMA GRADE hyaluronic acid, of pharmaceutical purity (the quality of injectable drugs), into Lacristar; this important innovation in the ophthalmological field, guarantees greater safety of the product for the patient, due to the almost absolute purity, as well as a clearer and more reliable prediction of efficacy.

Composition

High quality "PHARMA GRADE" sodium hyaluronate (0.4% w/v), sodium chloride, sodium citrate, citric acid monohydrate, water for injections.

Preservation

• To be stored at a temperature below 25° C in a cool, dry place. • Shelf life with untouched packaging: 24 months. • Do not waste into the environment after use.
